"I felt I just had to let you know how much we all enjoyed our
Christmas Day lunch. We have been coming to the hotel for the last 5 or 6 years (we can't remember!) and spent last New Year's Eve with you. The meal 4 days ago was superb. Everyone agreed that the stuffed goose was fabulous. The recipe for the cauliflower cheese was much better. The apple sorbet was the best I've ever tasted. What a good idea not to serve Christmas pudding which always tastes the same anyway - cheap or homemade. Look forward to seeing you next Christmas".
